Mmmmm.......

Thank you to all the wonderful parent helpers we have had in the classroom so far. We certainly appreciate your presence in the classroom and love the extra help. It's wonderful for the kids to see that their parents value their education and want to be part of it. It is also very exciting for your child when you come in. If anyone has any nuts, bolts, phillips head screws, locks and keys that they are not using, we would love some for our classroom. Literacy Over the last 2 weeks we  have looked at the letters S A T P I N, focusing on the sound they make and identifying any words that beginning with that sound. This week and next we will be looking at the letters C H R E M D. Again looking at the sound they make and words that begin with that sound. Please make these letters part of your conversations at home. The more familiar they are to the children the easier reading and writing will become. Numeracy We are recapping numbers 1 - 10 during Maths and looking at different ways they can be represented, for example, a numeral, using dotts, using concrete materials. Science Du
