Half way through Term 2!!!!!

Half way through Term 2 already!!! There has been so much wonderful learning happening. We are so proud of everyone and their efforts.  We have been learning about our feelings by using our beautiful Kimochis Dolls.   First we met the gorgeous 'Lovey Dove' and her adopted baby 'Turtle Dove".   Lovey Dove has been teaching us about the emotions of kind and proud.  We have also met Cloud and Huggtopus.  Cloud is a bit moody and unpredictable, just like the weather!  When cloud is happy he spreads sunshine, but when you turn his head, his sad face signals that he might 'rain on your parade' He teaches us to be responsible and use self-soothing strategies to comfort and regulate upset feelings. Mums and Dads might like to look at the video below of a class of similar aged students learning about the Calm Down Breath.  We did this last week.   The Calm Down Breath \ Huggtopus is all smiles and hugs. She is affectionate and sometimes gets a lit

Pre Primary snapshot

We have been so busy in Pre Primary - here is a snapshot of what we've been up to. We hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day and enjoyed your little masterpieces! Thank you for your continuing support, we hope you enjoy the following pictures. Have a lovely week, Mrs Martin & Mrs Leahy

Important information for Term 2

A huge thank you to all parents for your support of our new gathering time roster that started today. The children moved around with ease. We love having our parents helping in the mornings and more importantly your children love having you with them. For those of you who come in with younger brothers/sisters in tow please be assured that you and your little one are more than welcome. We would rather have you here supporting your Pre-Primary child than not coming in at all. Below is the weekly roster for you. We would love for parents to stay and help their child on their Writing Journal day. If another day would suit you better please come and see us. Each child is rostered at two stations each day except on their Writing Journal day. On that day they may choose any station once their writing is finished. You may give your child as much help as they need with their writing apart from writing it for them. Please have your child show the teacher their writing once it is finished. G
