Week 8 Term 1

Hi Everyone, Our little cherubs are working really hard at the moment. A well earned rest is not far away. During the Parent Interviews so far I've loved hearing that they are relaying some of their new learning to you at home and are getting excited about spotting letters and numbers everywhere!! Week 7 Term 1

 Hi Parents, This term has been flying by so far!!! Your beautiful children have been superstars and are living their best Pre Primary life!! We are launching into learning the alphabet sounds....so far we have learnt the letters m and s. It is really important that these sounds are pronounced correctly so have a look at the way your child says each sound. When the 's' sound is pronounced the tongue should not be sticking out, it stays behind the teeth. Have a look at this informative video on how each sound is correctly pronounced. (Stick with it as it gives a lot of information regarding how our kids learn to read and write). During maths we have been looking at the correct formation of the numbers 1-10 and creating patterns using 2 attributes. We have also been practising 'subitising'.  What is Subitising?
