Exciting days in PP!!!

Thank you to all the parents who have met with Alison and I for the parent interviews. An apology to those who had their meeting cancelled, we are able to meet at the same time in week 10. Thank you for your understanding. There are a lot of special things happening next week......please read on to find out!!! Alphabet Celebration Day. We have nearly finished reviewing all the letters of the alphabet.  This gives cause for a celebration!   So on next Wednesday the 5th of April we will have our Alphabet Celebration Day.   We ask parents to help the children to select their favourite letter of the alphabet (we suggest that you guide them to one that they may have trouble recalling) and based on that letter do the following; 1. Come to school dressed up as something that begins with that letter. 2. Make a display poster about that letter.  This poster should have the letter clearly displayed and pictures on things that have that initial sound.  These pictures can be hand drawn, c

The children should complete as much as this as possible themselves.

F-F-FUN in PPL

Dear Parents, We have been learning our new letters and having so much fun exploring different ways to learn them. We have written them on whiteboards, drawn them in sand, made them with Lego, printed on them using Lego, painted them with our fingers and with brushes and also made them with play-do. We have decorated using f-f-feathers, f-f-flowers and even coloured in our names on f-f-foil. We have also been extra adventurous during f-f-fruit time and trying something new from our sharing plates! Thank you to the f-f-family who brought in the f-f-figs!!!  As you can see we have had so much f-f-FUN in PPL! have a lovely weekend Mrs Martin & Mrs Leahy

week 6

Dear Parents, We hope you all had a lovely break on the long weekend and enjoy the short week ahead. Remember that this coming weekend is also a long weekend as we have a PUPIL FREE DAY on Monday 13th March as per the newsletter. Gathering Time at OLC is from 8.30am -8.50am. It is a special time for the children to settle into their day and spend some time with their parents in the classroom (if you are able - it is not compulsory). Please try to keep parent discussions to outside the classroom as it is important for the morning gathering time to be calm and not too noisy. Please leave promptly after the pack up song to encourage your child's growing independence and so that we can begin our day on time. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation. We have been having so much fun learning so many new things in PPL, we hope you enjoy seeing our clever skills develop along with our growing independence. Have a fabulous week, Mrs Martin &
