PPL Around the world

Dear Parents, Here as some pictures of our busy days in Pre Primary. We have learnt about Japan, Italy, France and Africa. We have collaged kimonos, counted to ten in Japanese, designed new and improved Eiffle towers, cooked pizzas, made necklaces and lion masks! We have had Dr Dan the Dentist vist, played on the new nature playground and dressed up for Book Week. What a busy term already! We will be creating Christmas craft this week and can't wait to show you our masterpieces! We hope you enjoy our pictures, Mrs Martin & Mrs Leahy                    

On the count down to Christmas.

Busy times at OLC.... A few reminders for the next few weeks. Tomorrow : Book week dress up parade. Come dressed as your favourite Australian story book character or Australian hero. You may bring a gold coin if you would like to buy a second hand book. Assembly change for week 8: changed to Thursday 1/12  instead of Friday 2/12 Orientation Day:   On Friday 2nd Dec the students will be visiting their new classroom for 2017 for a small activity and to see what it is like in Year 1!!! OLC Awards Evening and Christmas Concert:    Tuesday 6/12  at 5.30pm  is our school Christmas concert and awards night. Students will sit with their teachers for the duration and will be collected from their teachers at the end of the night. Please keep smaller sibling with mums and dads. Chinese Restaurant Visit

Today both Pre Primary classes visited the Dunsborough Chinese Restaurant to complement our learning about Asia. The children travelled by bus and were treated to a magnificent feast including fried rice, spring rolls, honey chicken and prawn crackers. For many children it was their first visit to the Chinese restaurant and they had so much fun learning how to eat with chop sticks. Joan and her staff were very impressed with the delightful manners and table etiquette shown by our Pre Primary children. Here are some pictures from the day!
