Hi Everyone, It has been great hearing all of the amazing things the kids got up to on their holidays. Whether it was going away to another place or playing with their family at home, they all seemed to enjoy their time. Now we are all ready for a brand new term!!!! Literacy Our literacy rotations continue this term where we will focus on learning to read and write. We will be doing a lot more writing this semester where we will put into practise our letter/sound knowledge to write words and sentences. We have already been learning 'sight words' but will now be bringing them home to practise. Sight words , often also called high frequency words, are commonly used words that young children are encouraged to memorize as a whole by sight, so that they can automatically recognize these words in print. When a set of sight words is brought home, please help your child practise reading and writing these words. The aim is for your child to recognise these words instantly. We
