Fruit tray, Sports Day, Learning in PPL

Farewell to the shared fruit tray! To aid in the children’s transition to Year One we will not be having a shared fruit tray in Term 4.  We ask all parents to pack a morning tea for their children.  This morning tea should be fruit based with something extra for those children who require a little more. It is easier for the children (and us) if the morning tea is packed in a separate lunch box.  If fruit requires peeling  and is difficult to peel, then please do this at home for your child. Many thanks, Pre-Primary Teachers ...................................................................................................................................................................... Just a little reminder that due to poor weather conditions Sports Day was cancelled last term and has been re-scheduled for the first day of Term 4, Tuesday 11th October. The Pre Primary children will be participating in a running race and a few relays (beginning at 9am) so please com

Going back in time

What a wonderful day we had on 'Olden days' Wednesday. All of the Pre-Primaries participated in various 'olden day' activities. There was sewing, dancing, long rope skipping, cooking, playing knuckle bones, rolling hoola hoops, story telling and writing on black boards. The students looked the part in their amazing 'olden days' outfits as well. Thank you for your amazing effort parents. Thank you also to the awesome parent helpers. Without you the day wouldn't have been such an amazing success!!! Have a look at the day in action....

Learning Journeys and Olden Days day.

Learning Journeys On Monday the 12 th  of September the Pre-primary classes will be having their Learning Journey sessions.  This is a time when parents can visit the classrooms and participate in activities with their children that are representative of the types of learning experiences that their children are involved in during daily routines.  This time is especially beneficial for parents who cannot normally attend Gathering Time and Classroom Parent Help rosters.  (So send dad if he hasn’t been into the classroom yet). We ask you to select one of two time slots available by entering your name on the sheet displayed  on the Parent Information board.  This is a ‘first in first served’ situation as we wish to keep the groups even in numbers. The time slots will be; 3.30pm – 4.00pm. 4.00pm – 4.30pm. At the completion of the Learning Journey session you will be asked to fill in a Two Stars and a Wish sheet which will provide your child with feedback about how you are feel
