Icebergs

Dear Parents, Please help us construct Pre-primary Icebergs!!! Our Pre-primary science lessons have involved looking at how ‘the sun changes everything’. We are planning on finishing our unit by constructing 2 ‘icebergs’ in the pre-primary area to see how the sun effects one sitting in the sun and the other sitting in the shade. But we need your help…. We are asking every family in the school to bring iceblocks (made using an icecream container or large plastic container) to the Pre-primary playground this Thursday morning (1 st  April). You may colour the water if you like. We will watch the icebergs melt throughout the day after predicting how long it will take for the icebergs to melt and which one will melt first. Please help us construct the biggest icebergs we can!!! Don't forget; Easter Bonnet  making today 2pm.   Free dress  for Naturaliste on Wednesday this week.   Wishing you all a lovely Easter break and a wonderful two weeks of holiday.  Stay safe and have lots of fun

So now we have learnt the letters: 'm', 's' and 't'. Can you find things around your house that begin with each of those letters? We have also been listening very carefully to 3 sounds that Mrs Leahy says slowly and working out the word that they make when you put them together. This is called 'blending'. eg: c-a-t makes cat Maths We have looked very carefully at our 'five frames' and are working out different ways we can make five. eg: If we put 2 counters in a five frame how many more do we need to add to make 5? We need to add 3 more. So: 2 add 3 makes 5. We can write it like this: 2+3=5. There a
