Week 4 Term 1

 Hi Everyone, Let's hope you all enjoyed your weekend. The weather is staying warm and sunny for us, thank goodness!!! It's great to see your children come into the classroom independently, place their water bottle on the shelf and come to practise their name writing. We are really concentrating on writing our names with the correct letter formation so we aren't practising it wrong. Seesaw. Thankyou to the wonderful parents who have downloaded Seesaw.   We have posts waiting to go but would like everyone on before we begin so if you haven't please do as soon as possible. If you have lost your new login sheet then please see me at the door in the morning.   Our post this week will be about the importance of play for preprimary students.   Merit Awards. Week 3 Term 1 Parent Class Information

Hi Parents/Guardians, Welcome to the 2022 parent information night for Pre Primary. This year it looks a little bit different due to COVID restrictions. We understand that in previous years, it might have been a bit difficult for some people to attend due to other commitments, so we are very privileged to be able to present this to you all in an online capacity. Week 2 Term 1

Welcome to Week 2 Learning Intentions: For the first part of Term 1 we are working on learning our new classroom routines and getting used to our learning space and teachers.  English: Our focus in Literacy sessions at the moment is on identifying words that rhyme and practising to write our names correctly. Each morning when the kids enter the room they will have a name tracing sheet to complete. Could you please remind them to do this each morning. What Are Rhyming Words? Rhyming words  are two or more words that have the same or similar ending sound. Some examples of rhyming words are: goat, boat, moat, float, coat. When you are figuring out if two words rhyme, use your ears to listen as you say the words. If they sound the same or similar, they rhyme. For example: car and bar rhyme; house and mouse rhyme. If the two words sound different, they do not rhyme. For example: car and man do not rhyme; house and grass do not rhyme. Numeracy: Our focus in numeracy at the moment is on revis

Week 1 down!!

 Hi Parents, What an amazing first week all of your beautiful children had!! They have taken everything in their stride and shown us all just how resilient and grown up they can be. We are very proud of them. Five full days is a lot to handle for our kids so you may see some melt downs.  Library books: We have library on a Thursday. We bought home a book this week already. Please bring it back next Thursday in its library bag. If you are finished with it earlier feel free to bring it back earlier and place in the blue and yellow trolley tub. Pillows: Your child may bring in a small pillow to use at rest/reading time in the afternoons. News: We will start news sharing in week 4. I will send out a roster before then.
