Year PPT OLC

Hello to everyone and welcome back for Term 3.  We hope you have had a very relaxing break and enjoyed some quality time with your children.   Following are a few reminders in order to get Term Three off to a smooth start.  Please return your child's portfolio.  It should be in the order it was when it went home.   Term three is often the worse term for coughs, colds and bugs.  If your child is unwell then please keep them at home in an effort to reduce the spread of germs.     This term your child will receive a 'reading book'.  When they receive reading books will depend on their tested readiness. For this they will require a reading bag.  An example folder is on display in the classroom as you walk in. Folders can be purchased at local news-agencies.  Reading bags must be waterproof and a sensible size.  Please bring them in asap. A note about home reading and how to do it will accompany the first readers.   The children received sets of Sight Words this week.  A

Good afternoon Parents, We have had a funfilled and eventful beginning to Term 3. We will be making digeridoos next week so if you could please send in some long paper towel cylinders (we need one for each child) that would be great! PPL NEWS ROSTER  TERM 3 There will be no set topics for NEWS this term. We will be learning about Australian animals, bugs and insects so these can be used as motivation, otherwise the children are free to bring in whatever they would like to share. WELCOME BACK TO TERM 3! We hope you all had a restful and relaxing holiday and your children are super excited to return to school! Please remember to return your child's hat and small rest time cushions  that were sent home at the end of last term for a wash.  We also need your child's portfolio back so that we can add more work for the remainder of the year. If you were away on the last day of Term 2 and didn't receive a portfolio then please collect them from Mrs Martin. Mrs Leahy will be away this week so I will be teaching the class all week, please don't hesitate to contact me with any queries.  We will begin our gathering time rotations (8.30-8.50am) and NEWS roster in week 2. Please remember that if your child is to go home with anyone other than their parents then we need written notification of this.
