Welcome back to Term 2 everyone. I hope you all had an amazing holiday. I think we were very lucky with the weather!! We have a long busy term coming up with lots of learning to be done so please keep this in mind with your child. Lots of early nights and nutritious food will help them to keep going. Literacy During literacy we are continuing our InitiaLit program. This week we were introduced to the letters 'p' and 'i'. We learnt their name, sound and how to correctly form each letter. So far we have learnt the letters 'm', 's', 't', 'a', 'p' and 'i'. We have been using these letters to make small words such as: 'sat', 'tap', 'am', 'at', 'pat', 'map', 'Sam' etc. We have carefully stretched the words out to hear the beginning, middle and ending sounds and have blended the sounds together to work out the word.
