Open Evening/Learning Journeys Monday

Hi Everyone, Mel and I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you for being so organised and thoughtful with your child's contribution to the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox. Everything you have donated will be greatly appreciated by the child who receives it. Our kids will be packing the shoe boxes tomorrow ready to send off to a very lucky child somewhere in the world. Learning Journeys I would like to offer a 'Monday morning session' for the Monday learning journeys as well as the evening session. A lot of our Pre primary families have younger siblings who have early bedtimes and partners who work away so it may be easier to do the learning journey in the morning. If this option would interest you please feel free to come into the classroom from 8.30 - 9.30am this coming Monday morning (23rd Sept). You will be free to move around our classroom with your child and look at the work that is displayed as well as having a look at your child's work books an

Week 9

A few reminders for Week 9 ...... Learning Journeys On the final Monday of term (23rd Sept) , from 5-6pm, we will be holding our Learning Journey to share the rich learning that has taken place in classes this term. If parents assemble in the hall at 5pm, there will be a short welcome and musical presentation. All parents are then free to walk through the classrooms to look at their child's work and art displays. Playgrounds After school As there is no teacher on duty to supervise the children after school, could you please make sure your children don't play on any of the school playgrounds at the end of the day. Operation Christmas Child - Shoe box gift Don't forget to bring in your child's contribution to the shoe box. If you have done so already please make sure you have ticked your name off the list or could you just send me an email to say you have. Please have a look at the following information to help you choose your gift. https://www.samaritanspurse.

Week 7

Hi Everyone, Here we are in week 7. We've been working so hard and I am really proud of everyone's efforts. Thank you for spending the time to do the gathering time challenges with you child. It is a great opportunity to talk with your child about their learning. I know that parents often get the answer of 'nothing' when asking their child what they did in their school day. With each little challenge you are getting a glimpse into what your child is learning and are able to have a purposeful look around their classroom. Gaining Independence In the lead up toward the end of the year we need to encourage independence in our children. To assist with this please allow your child to place their Home Reading folder, Library bag and Comprehension packs in their correct places themselves. They are capable of doing it themselves along with carrying their own bags to and from school. PMP information from Kathy Holt Our Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP), running each Thur
