A final few reminders!!

Dear Parents,
Thank you so much for dressing up your children and assisting us with Multicultural day last week. We had so much fun! We learnt about Germany with Oliver's friend Vee, we discovered Scotland and made thistles with Tristan's Dad and Pa, made fresh Italian pasta with Lyla's mum and made Japanese fans with Evelyn and James' mum. We also tasted Sri Lankan curry, made African neck decorations, played Spanish instruments, learnt about Mexico and made Japanese sushi. It was a fabulous morning that's for sure. Thank you so much to all our parent (and grandparent) helpers! Attached are some pictures from the day.
Please remember that it is $2 ICECREAM WEDNESDAY (organised by the P&F) and our CHRISTMAS CONCERT tomorrow afternoon at 5.30pm.
The children need to be lined up in their class groups on the lawn outside the hall with their class teacher at 5.20pm so that we can enter the hall and begin at 5.30pm.
Please dress your child in Christmas colours and make sure they have eaten and been to the toilet beforehand.
On THURSDAY we will be having a WATERPLAY morning outside with our friends in PPB. Please send you child to school wearing their bathers / boardies and a rashie under their school uniform with their school HAT and sunscreen applied. Please also send in underwear and a towel. Children will have their normal PE lesson after lunch so please make sure they have their socks and sneakers packed as well.
Thank you for all your support,
Mrs Martin & Mrs Leahy

Week 2 Term 3

Dear Parents, Well here we go! Term Four.   I hope that you have all had happy and restful holidays.  My kids and I went to Shark Bay for the first week with my mum and dad. It was great to get out of Dunsborough and was a fun road trip. Not sure my Dad will choose to sit in the back with the kids ever again though!!! We welcome Fraya and her family to PPB this term. There will be a strong emphasis on reading and writing this term in order to prepare your children for the rigour of Year One.  Some ways that you can support your child with their learning are: Listen to your child read EVERY night. Complete the homework reading sheets that are sent home each week.  Practise 'Tricky Words'.  Read them. Write them.  If your child is reversing letters and numerals then model the correct formation for them. Use the printing chart we sent home earlier this year.   Follow up on recommendations from any speech or OT reports. Don't forget to share any further reports you get with me

Welcome to PPT 2024

Dear Parents,  On behalf of the Pre Primary Turner teaching team I would like to extend a warm welcome to the PPT Teal students and families of 2024! The beginning of a new year is always exciting, not only for the students but for the teachers too.  Pre Primary, also known as the Foundation Year, is a very important year in your child's educational journey.   This year they will learn the essential early skills of reading and writing. They will also be introduced to and learn to recognise and understand our base ten counting system. Learning will also include music, dance, HASS, Technology, Science, Kimochis and our Keeping Safe programme. Our first term focuses on learning routines, expected behaviours and getting used to our learning and play spaces. As with last year, both PP classes are sharing a learning space while our new classrooms are being created and will be working closely throughout the year.   It can be a little noisy with 2 classes in the one space so plea

Dear Parents,  Preparation for Year 1 In order to prepare the children for Year 1 we would like parents to allow your child to become more independent in their school day.
